Encinitas is going all Lima!

From Tequila to Lima Bean themed cook off and talent show there is somthing fun for everybody at this wacky event benefiting Encinitas’s living History the San Dieguito Heritage Museum.

“”Why Lima Beans?” The lima bean was grown in this area. In fact, before flowers, there were thousands of acres of lima beans planted right here. Lima Beans do not need irrigation, they are very nutritious, and inexpensive to grow. With our current drought and financial conditions, perhaps we should embrace the lima bean again.
